Stick training

Hi!

The single stick, when you train, do you always view it as bolo/sword, or do you also have techniques that are only meant to be done with a stick (and not a blade)?

What fighting range is used most in RR? Corto, media or largo?

Sverre.

Hi Sverre,

RRMA are based from 3 Traditional guerilla and warrior arts and becaus of tose lineage of we value the sword movements. you will found out soon when you came here and start traing. we used sticks of course for safety and legal purpose but sometimes we brough our wooden sword and train in the original arts of Blade fighting. we guarantee you that RAPIDO REALISMO are blade fighting  as well as stick fighting in relations to blade movements.

What is the range RR uses most often? Is it a primarily long range, medium or short range style?

How much do you train espada y daga or siniwali as opposed to the single stick/sword training?

Sverre.

RR uses any range applicable to the situation and it doesn't matter waht is the range you are in as far as you know how to use the combative concepts of each range. Filipino are known on flows, and as i said rr is a close quarter blade oriented arts but don't limited to close range but on totality of combat. you will found it after studying with PG Espera.

well, in case of sinawali and spada y daga. it depends on the level of the students if he reach the level which he is capable of using both weapons we will introduce it to him but doble baston are taught as part of the basic foundation of the arts taught simultaneously with single weapons. but much of the training are single weapons based on practicality of using a BLADE weapns.
